Welcome to Guichos Eatery - Carpinteria, a delightful culinary gem nestled in the heart of Carpinteria, California. Located at 901 Linden Ave, this eatery has quickly garnered a reputation for its exquisite Italian cuisine and welcoming atmosphere. With the convenience of outdoor dining and a clean, inviting space, Guichos offers an experience that resonates with both locals and visitors alike.
Upon entering, you are greeted by the warming aromas of freshly prepared dishes. Customers rave about the generous portions, highlighted by Manny Destura's praise of their "delicious spaghetti with huge meatballs," a dish designed to satisfy even the heartiest of appetites. The standout menu items include a variety of pastas—think Ravioli 3 Cheese, Spaghettini W/Meatballs, and Lasagna W/Sausage—which showcase the kitchen's skill and dedication to Italian comfort food.
But it's not just the pasta that shines here. The meatball sandwich, often described as "super big" and a testament to the eatery's commitment to quality, has become a favorite among patrons. Neal Benson highlights not only the flavors but also the excellent service offered by the staff, who contribute to the pleasant dining experience.
For those seeking lighter options, the shrimp salad comes highly recommended by deanna Cramblit, who is a fan of both flavor and pricing. The portions are generous, ensuring great value for your meal. The love for fresh ingredients and attention to detail is palpable in every dish, making “light” not synonymous with bland.
And let's not forget dessert! Indulge in a slice of Tiramisu or a rich Creme Brulee—the perfect finale to your meal. The culinary team at Guichos Eatery clearly knows how to balance sweetness and creaminess, making the desserts unforgettable.
Whether you choose to dine indoors or outside, Guichos Eatery promises a delightful feast, whether you’re stopping by after a day of antiquing or simply craving comforting Italian flavors. “ Super good spot! Conveniently located on Linden. Great staff. Nice environment. Clean restrooms I ordered the meatball sandwich and it was super big! Love the food and outside dining options. ”
“ Best food ever, especially for the price. Love the shrimp salad, meatball sandwich, lasagna, and meatballs. Good stuff and always consistent in quality ”
“ A relatively new eatery along Linden, the main drag of Carpinteria. I had to go find some things in my favorite antique shop Homestead and passed this place on the way. The cooking smells were divine. Decided to go light for dinner and this was an excellent choice. It could have been blah, but it was SO good. Full of fresh yummy flavors. The prices are reasonable (11 for this dish), the staff was charming. Inside and outside dining. ”
“ Bar none! Delicious spaghetti with yyuuggee meatballs to die for! I haven’t had delicious spaghetti with meatballs in a very, very look time like that. The staff were courteous and they were always available. Such an underrated place to eat. Everyone! This is a MUST go there to eat delicious Italian food! ”
“ Go here and get the eggplant sandwich, even if your aren't vegetarian and even if you are just visiting Santa Barbara, drive there and get it. Its that memorable. Took a while to arrive at the table but it was worth the wait due the care involved in making this masterpiece. Follow up edit one week later. We went back for the same eggplanty goodness and got the meatball sando too to split. Exceptional too. Its enough food for 3 or 4 people though. ”
“ This place is great, and I would highly recommend. The ingredients are high quality and the food is prepared with care. Had the grilled eggplant sandwich, and it was phenomenal. I'm usually not one to gush about veggie options, but this was a memorable sando done right. Salad was super fresh, service friendly and outside seating pleasant. Next time we're back in Carp, will return for more ”
“ My daughter and I ate here 1st night staying at state beach. She had the fettuccine w/ chicken. I had the shrimp linguine. Both dishes were awesome. The garlic bread is different, not my style. But u can't make everyone happy. Great place, great prices, and great atmosphere. The dude at the record store up the block recommended it to us. Everything was 5 . ”
“ Very simple but good, not a huge menu which gives them a chance to concentrate on what they serve, I’ve had 3 pasta dishes all perfectly Al dente. Homemade sausage sandwich and grilled chicken salad hit just right. ”
